We know cats are independent creatures so we have put together these services to help you give your cat the quality of life it deserves.
We recommend neutering cats at 4-6 months, unless you intend to breed from your pet. Both males and females can be neutered at this age. Please speak to a member of staff for more information.
A kitten's maternal immunity only lasts for the first few weeks, therefore it's important to organise vaccinations for your kitten as soon as possible. The initial vaccination is split into two:
We offer a free consultation with the Nurse at the first vaccination, this allows you to discuss diet, microchipping, flea and worm treatments etc.
Your cat will require an annual booster to maintain resistance to dangerous diseases. This annual visit to the surgery also allows one of our Vets to give your pet a full health check.
If you do not remember to vaccinate at around the same time each year then your pet may require vaccinations to be 're-started' with another two part course.
We will usually send you a vaccination reminder card, but it's a good idea to make a note on your calendar too.
It is important to protect your cat from internal parasites such as tapeworms, roundworms and lungworms, and external parasites such as fleas, ticks and mites.
Our Vets and Nurses are happy to discuss an appropriate parasite prevention protocol for your dog. We offer free 'Weigh and Worm' consultations with a Nurse for this purpose. The only charge we make is for the medication.
Please make an appointment if you would like to provide your cat with a high quality parasite prevention plan using prescription products.
