Charlie Moore MRCVS

Biography

Charlie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2006 and joined the practice that year. He originates from Wells, his family owned Harrill's Butchers on Wells High St, which is now a branch of C&G. He has two dogs and seven cats. Outside of work he enjoys his family as with three small children there is little time for anything else. Charlie covers all aspects of veterinary care within the practice, being the last remaining mixed veterinary practitioner, but has a particular interest in surgery of both farm animals and pets.

Charlotte Holmes MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Biography

Qualified from the University of Bristol in 2016, after seeing the practice with us since the age of 15. Her special interest is cardiology along with laboratory work. Charlotte has a cocker spaniel called Ethal, who keeps her busy outside of work, along with providing staff with cuddles during working hours.

Biography

Clare grew up on a smallholding in North Wales. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004 and worked in London for 8 Years, with 4 years working for the RSPCA. She returned to Wales to work in emergency and critical care before moving to Somerset to join the Westfield team in 2016. She enjoys running and cycling in the beautiful Somerset countryside. She has a lazy cat called Opie who she loves relaxing with in front of the fire at the end of the day. She is currently studying for a certificate in small animal medicine.

Suzy Wheeler MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Biography

Qualified from the royal veterinary college in 2004 and has worked in mixed and farm but now only purely works for small animal practice. Her interest is in small animal surgery and she has gained the GPCertSAS qualification in 2012. She is hoping to complete her CertAvp (GSAS) very soon. She owns horses, sheep, chickens, dogs and a cat and has two young children, so is kept very busy outside of work.

Biography

Nikki qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1995, and was a Head Nurse at Blake Veterinary Group in Bridgwater prior to joining Westfield Vets in 2004. Nikki enjoys dental care and anaesthesia, and processes the insurance claims. She lives on the family farm, owns a Labrador called Brock, a skewbald horse called Murphy, and a menagerie of cats, guinea pigs, ducks, pigs, and pet sheep.

Biography

Amie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2007 and worked in a neighbouring practice for 13 years before joining Westfield Vets in May 2014. Amie enjoys anaesthesia and caring for patients post operatively. She lives on a farm with cows, pigs, sheep and two border collies who she takes to sheepdog training lessons.

Beth joined the Practice in September 2015 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. At home Beth has a golden retriever called Laura, two cats called Suzy and Martha, and a collection of chickens.

Biography

Sue originates from Wales and has worked at the practice since 2008. She organises the TB testing schedule and coordinates the paperwork alongside her daily reception duties. She has previously worked as a PA. Outside of work Sue enjoys competing in a local skittles league.

Denise joined the Reception team in March 2016. After a career in hospitality Denise decided to turn her passion for animals into a career in the veterinary business. Outside of work Denise enjoys walking her Japanese Akita, Eve, and playing with her two cats, Thatcher and Zoe.
