At Westfield Veterinary Centre, you can get support and advice for dealing with some of the more common canine conditions. From neutering to vaccinations to dietary advice, our vets and nurses are here to help you give the best to your dog.
The routine vaccination course covers the following diseases: Distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis. It does not cover rabies or kennel cough - these are given separately.
Puppy vaccinations are divided into 2:
Your dog will need an annual booster to maintain its protection throughout its life. Your dog will require an annual booster to maintain resistance to dangerous diseases. This annual visit to the surgery allows one of our Vets to give your pet a full health check.
We provide a puppy training course in association with Sarah Cooke, dog trainer and behaviourist. The course is based on the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Scheme Guidelines, and each puppy will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the 6-week course.
It is important to protect your dog from internal parasites such as tapeworms, roundworms and lungworms, and external parasites such as fleas, ticks and mites.
Our Vets and Nurses are happy to discuss an appropriate parasite prevention protocol for your dog. We offer free 'Weigh and Worm' consultations with a Nurse for this purpose. The only charge we make is for the medication.
Please make an appointment if you would like to provide your dog with a high quality parasite prevention plan using prescription products.
